General Description
The Senior Producer will play a key role in developing and delivering BAC’s Creative Development project. You will be integral to building and managing BAC’s commissioning and co-producing networks. You will cultivate strong relationships with UK and international partners, and develop and manage new and existing partnerships for commissions and productions.
Working closely with commissioned artists, you will use your established producing skillset to develop their ideas and creative practice, while also providing pastoral and professional support.
You will be a creative, collaborative and ideas-driven individual, confident in managing people and multiple priorities, with extensive experience in producing complex projects with a range of partners.
Working closely with the Creative Director, you will plan and deliver:
Commissions & Productions:
Bespoke packages of space, financial and producing support to develop projects for our public programme. This role will be specifically leading the development and delivery of the commissions, New Dimensions (premier in October 2027) and second production of Making Waves (premiere in Spring 2027).
Artists Development:
Bespoke programmes focused on peer-to-peer exchange and developing practice, including Scene Change International Exchange and Creative Labs programmes.Making Space:
In-kind use of BAC’s rehearsal rooms for artists residencies.
The culture at BAC is a collaborative and open one. We work in an open plan space with no closed private offices and frequently work across teams and roles. We are lucky to have an outdoor terrace adjoined to the office which is particularly nice in the summer months. There’s a good culture of people taking lunch breaks away from desks and two equipped kitchen and eating areas where the team tend to spend their down time. We organise regular social events and things can get competitive at our annual sports day and Christmas quiz. Though to be clear, spectating is respected as much as taking part here at BAC!
